Filmmaker Scott Garen will be hosting a post-screening guided discussion/Q&A with Contact Writer James V. Hart. 

In this thrilling adaptation of the Carl Sagan novel, Dr. Ellie Arroway (Jodie Foster) races to interpret a message originating from the Vega star system. Once first contact is confirmed, Arroway comes up against the forces of science and religion in a harrowing search for truth and a message, hidden in the signal. Writer James V. Hart will talk about the years he spent with Carl Sagan, wrestling the screenplay into creation and the unique themes of the film.
