The 2026 Sundance Institute Indigenous Film Tour is a free theatrical program featuring the award-winning Aanikoobijigan [ancestor/great-grandparent/great-grandchild] from the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, with additional films, Native Sin and Menil and Her Heart, playing in select locations this summer.
Originally launched in 2021 as a digital initiative alongside Native cultural center, and arthouse cinema partners, the program returns to theaters this summer with the 2026 Sundance Institute Indigenous Film Tour to celebrate the breakthrough work of emerging Indigenous filmmakers.
The 2026 Sundance Institute Indigenous Film Tour is supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria. The Santa Fe screenings are co-presented by Cinedoom, a Blackhorse Lowe film series.
